Shiner Elementary

Hi, and welcome to Shiner Elementary! My name is Michelle Turek and I am thrilled to be a part of the Comanche family! I am so proud to be a part of a school community where family members are actively engaged in their child’s education, as well as active members of our school family. Moreover, I am privileged to serve where teachers and staff cultivate an environment in which our students achieve and believe in themselves and their school. A little about me:

Dr. Turek holds a Doctoral degree in Educational Leadership and Organizational Change from Baylor University, Masters degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas- Arlington, and a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Houston. She is in her 10th year of educational leadership, serving several years as an English teacher, instructional specialist, assistant principal, assistant principal of curriculum and instruction, principal, and superintendent of schools. 

Dr. Turek calls the Shiner community home, and is married to her husband of over 12 years, Michael. They are also the proud parents of their son, Cam.
