Welcome to Shiner Independent School District!
Congratulations Homecoming Queen 2016 !
Help the Shiner Junior High Student Council support our troops by donating to Project Shoebox! We need items such as heat-resistant candies, paper, envelopes, toothpaste, hand sanitizer, granola bars, baby wipes, instant coffee, etc. Items will be collected in the main office and in Mrs. Stluka's classroom and sent to OS for dispersal. Check out OperationShoebox.com for more info and help us support our heroes!!
The weather is starting to change, and warm coats will soon be a neccessity. The Junior High Student Council are collecting coats and jackets to be donated to the Gonzales Regional Children's Advocacy Center. They service both children and families, including those in Shiner, so coats/jackets in all sizes are needed, from babies to parents. Collection boxes can be found in the cafeteria and in Mrs. Stluka's classroom.

Important Information about the FAFSA (Free Application For Student Aid)
Students that plan to continue their education after graduation are required to fill out the FASFA in order to qualify for grants, loans and many scholarships (including the Wolters Scholarship). In order to ensure that your child qualifies for financial aid, it is suggested that you complete your tax forms as early as possible (late January/early February) so that you can then complete the FASFA with your child. It is the
responsibility of students & parents to complete the FASFA and submit it on time.
Important Information about Scholarships
Every senior will receive a packet that contains scholarship applications and other important information. Students are required to sign upon receipt of this packet. It is the responsibility of the student to complete and mail or otherwise submit any and all scholarship applications.
